Strategize or die! How to build a Social Media strategy…and why!

First, let us give you some numbers that will make you think differently about the commercial use Facebook, that what you might already be thinking:
- More than 400 millions of people, worldwide are in Facebook!
- 10 million fans sign up every day to commercial brand pages!
People sign up to these pages because they believe that they can get something out of them : information, attention, special offers, coupons. So we guess you don’t want to turn your customers down! Especially when they have shown their extra appreciation to your company/brand, by becoming fan to your Facebook page!
In order, though, for the companies to capitalize on their fans, they should set up a complete strategy.
Follow the steps:
- Define your goals and objectives. That is, do you want to increase your sales, or monitor your reputation?
- Identify your audience. Who are they? Where can I find them?
- Find the right people to run your Social media campaign and allocate properly the roles.
- Identify the measures of success. Number of leads generated. Number of people talking about your brand.
- Execute the strategy
- Measure the results
All this may sound easy and logical, but if it is not followed carefully and applied properly, it can be a disaster. And don’t think that this cannot happen to you: even big brands have failed in the past.
And please keep in mind: recent research found that companies with the highest level of social activity, increased their revenues on an average of 18%!
