Blog post per day
We all know that Internet is big. Some of us suspect that Internet is huge. But how it compares to common things that we use everyday?

United breaks guitars
More than 7.500.000 million people know that United (Airlines) breaks guitars. But let’s start from the beginning. Social Media and Social Networks are about and for the people. People that are or will be at some point your customers. People that you want them to be your customers, regardless of what are you selling.

A few years ago if someone asked you to post a photo of you online your first reaction would probably be to refuse. But now something is different. Now we have social networks. Not only we are posting photos online, tagging ourselves so it would be easier for someone to search for us, but we are posting online and other more important or more personal information about us or our friends.

Google wants to be our (social) friend

Trying to gather information for a specific topic before Social Media almost certainly meant Google. Well you could also buy your favorite magazine’s issue covering the specific topics or wait some days for the next issue to go on stands and hope, both times, that they have the information you are looking for, hope that the editors of the magazine are better explorers of the web than you.

Social Media and the top 500 U.S. fastest growing companies

Social Networks
In the early 90’s Internet was the new thing. Most companies didn’t see the need, at that time, to have an Internet connection. In the late 90’s and the first years of 21st century most companies not only had an Internet connection but they also had an online presentation through a site. Now the Social Media is the new thing. The Center for Marketing Research at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth is conducting every year for the last three, a statistical analysis measuring the participation of the Inc. 500 companies in the Social Media. [Inc. 500 is a list of the 500 fastest growing companies in U.S.A. Take note that we are not talking about the 500 largest companies but those who are growing faster].

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past years, you must have heard of the boom in Social Media

One out of five Greeks is in Facebook!

Social Networking Facebook is really a strange place. I think that most of the times we do not understand how big it is. Did I write big? Maybe huge is the right word here. There are users that have over 1.000 friends and some of them even reach the 5.000 limit so they have to create a second account to keep “connecting”.
