A quick study in Magazines circulation in Greece

Total Circulation

Some days ago I was talking to a former colleague of mine who is still working for the same computer magazine I used to. He was happy about the circulation (they were still the number one computer magazine in circulation) and the fact that the gap from the second one is bigger in September than it was in August.  This conversation gave me the starting point for this blog post as I was already looking for something to write.

Social Media or "People have the power" Media

Social Media

Here at XPLAIN we love Social Media. But what is Social Media? Social Media are the Media of People, the Media your potential customers use but most important create.

Facebook and Twitter are good examples. In reality they have no value at all as sites. The only valuable asset they have is the millions of users and the way they communicate / interact with each other.

Display Advertising is not effective anymore

“The number of people online who click display ads has dropped 50% in less than two years, and only 8% of internet users account for 85% of all clicks, according to the most recent "Natural Born Clickers" study from ComScore and media agency Starcom”.

This was predictable, because consumers are always don’t want to be involved with branded ads and much more, they don’t like to “land” in companys’ official sites.
